Fujiwara-no-Sai is a fictional anime character from the series Nendoroid Hikaru no Go. He has a striking appearance with his soft, long white hair that falls down at his back. Sai is often seen wearing a traditional Japanese outfit with a dark blue hakama and a white kimono that is adorned with intricate golden embroidery. He has a small frame but carries himself with a regal air of composure, which adds to his sophisticated appearance. The character of Fujiwara-no-Sai is a ghost who resides within the body of Hikaru Shindo, the protagonist of the show. Sai was a Go player in the Heian period of Japan and due to his great skills and love for Go, he became the Go instructor to the emperor. He was falsely accused of cheating in a game and his reputation tarnished, the shame ultimately leading him to commit suicide. Sai's spirit was sealed within a Go board that was passed down to Hikaru, and upon its discovery, Sai was able to possess Hikaru, which sets off the story's plot. As the series progresses, Hikaru and Sai's relationship deepens, and they work together towards their goal of becoming professional Go players while also unraveling the mysteries surrounding Sai's past.
