Marisa is known for her distinctive outfit consisting of a black and white dress, a red necktie and black and white boots. She is often depicted carrying a broomstick, which doubles as a weapon and a mode of transportation.

Marisa Kirisame plays a prominent role in the Touhou Project series. She is a friend of the main protagonist, Reimu Hakurei, and often assists her in solving incidents that occur in their home of Gensokyo.
