Claude von Riegan is a fictional anime character from the popular video game series Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and the protagonist of the game's Golden Deer route. Claude is an incredibly charming and charismatic individual, with a slim but athletic build and sharp facial features. He has dark green hair that he often keeps styled in a slicked-back undercut, and piercing, amber-colored eyes that seem to sparkle with mischief. Despite his slender frame, Claude is a skilled fighter, fast and agile on his feet and with quick reflexes that allow him to dodge even the toughest opponents.

The story of Claude von Riegan is one of cunning, strategy, and ambition. Born as the heir to House Riegan, one of the most powerful and influential families in the Leicester Alliance, Claude grew up with dreams of one day expanding his territory and bringing peace to the land. Unlike many of his noble peers, however, Claude had no loyalty to the Church of Seiros or its kingdom, instead preferring to operate on his own rules and follow his own ideals. To this end, he enrolled in Garreg Mach Monastery, hoping to learn the skills he needed to become a strong and noble leader. Over the course of the game, Claude proves himself to be a master manipulator and a shrewd strategist, able to outmaneuver his enemies both on and off the battlefield. However, he also has a strong sense of compassion and justice, always seeking to find the best possible outcome for everyone involved. As the story progresses, Claude's true motives become clearer, and eventually, he reveals a plan to not only unite Fódlan under his own rule but to bring about lasting peace and prosperity for all its inhabitants.
