Tetsuro Kuroo is a fictional character from the anime series Haikyuu!! Season 3. He is a tall, muscular young man with a lean physique and a chiseled face. Kuroo has short, spiky black hair that is often styled in a messy fashion, along with bushy eyebrows and sharp features. He is most recognized for his cat-like appearance, with his intimidating yellow and sharp eyes, which he likes to tease and playfully smirk at his opponents with. Additionally, he is often seen wearing his Nekoma High school uniform, which is a dark blue volleyball jersey topped with light orange tracksuit bottoms.

Kuroo is a third-year student at Nekoma High School in Tokyo, where he serves as the captain and middle blocker of their volleyball team. He is known for being a natural leader with a calm demeanor and intelligent mind on the court. Despite his sometimes goofy and playful exterior, he is a strategic thinker who enjoys analyzing the opposing team's weaknesses and tactics. Kuroo is an all-around player with excellent defense and offense, often switching between aggressive spikes and reliable blocks at a moment's notice. Throughout the series, Kuroo's friendship and rivalry with the main character, Karasuno's captain, Hinata, is a prominent plotline. He first meets Hinata in middle school and is impressed by his potential as a player. Knowing Hinata's determination, Kuroo enjoys playing pranks on him to test his resilience. As he becomes more familiar with Hinata and the Karasuno team, Kuroo realizes the importance of teamwork and camaraderie in volleyball. He helps Hinata and his team in various ways, including analyzing their opponents and providing advice on how to improve their abilities on the court.
